SUNNYVALE, CA: Fujitsu PC and Fujitsu Technology Solutions have merged to form Fujitsu Computer Systems, thereby also merging the two divisions' PR teams. Megan O'Neil, who came from Fujitsu PC, will lead the merged PR team as director of marketing communications. O'Neil said the company is deciding between the two PR agencies who worked with the two divisions, and will make a decision by the end of November. Maples Communications worked with Fujitsu PC, and Neale-May & Partners worked with Fujitsu Technology Solutions.

In Austin, the agency will expand its relationship with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to include its personal-connectivity solutions group, as well as provide media relations and PR counsel for talent-management software provider Hire.com. The Boston-area office has added Network Intelligence and Maven Networks to its client roster.
NYACK, NY: OpenGate Marketing Communications is celebrating its two-year anniversary by opening a second office in Nyack, which will serve as OpenGate's headquarters.

The Waltham, MA office will handle PR for Capstone Partners, a national investment-banking advisory firm; iLumin Software Services, which develops enterprise message-management tools; Plasmon, which develops optical storage technology; and Wright Medical Group, a global orthopedic device company. The Bay Area office will handle PR for OSIsoft, which develops real-time performance-management platforms.
SAN FRANCISCO: Best PR has signed Citizen Cake and Esurance to its roster of Bay Area clients. Citizen Cake is a San Francisco restaurant renowned for its desserts, with Bon App?tit recently naming its pastry chef Elizabeth Falkner one of the best in the country. Esurance provides personal auto insurance direct to consumers online and over the phone.
DETROIT: Airfoil PR has unveiled two new services through its research practice: MarketRadar and MediaRadar. MarketRadar is a competitive-analysis and market-intelligence tool, while MediaRadar is a media and analyst-relations service. Both are part of an alliance Airfoil has developed with Intellitrends, a market intelligence and research firm.
COPENHAGEN: Lewis PR has opened an office in Copenhagen, its second Scandinavian office. Lewis PR opened an office in Stockholm in early 2002. Peter Bruun will lead the new office as GM. He joins from Dreyer & Kvetny, a Danish IT PR agency.
