Kowaleski has been promoted to VP of GM communications, a position formerly held by Steve Harris, and is now responsible for all of the company's global communications efforts. Harris retired from GM on the first of this year.

As a board member, he will oversee marketing, brand, financial, internal, and product communications for North America, the largest region within GM.
