STAMFORD, CT: Waggener Edstrom has won more business from MasterCard International, adding the Global Development and Corporate Payment Solutions business units to the PR services it already provides for MasterCard North America?s debit cards, member relations, and acceptance businesses.

New York-based Maloney & Fox, a consumer-focused agency acquired by Wag Ed late last year, was involved in the pitch and will contribute to the account as well.

The global development business, rewarded after a competitive RFP, had belonged to Brodeur Worldwide, which held it for five years.

?When they wanted to put our piece of business up for review, we sat down and came to a mutual decision that we would not participate,? said a Brodeur spokesperson, who asked not to be identified by name.

While Wag Ed?s work for the campaign is still in the ?discovery phase,? said account lead Keith Lindenburg, SVP/Eastern Region GM, the agency plans ?to partner with MasterCard to extend its leadership position in the advanced payments systems and technology space.?
