NEW YORK: American Express Corporate Travel has appointed Alicia Klosowski as its first VP of communications for global travel services.
Klosowski said AmEx created the new position because its company clients are consolidating their business-travel work around the world, and AmEx must follow suit by going global. In the past, regional PR people reported to regional leaders.
Aligning communications worldwide will be her first task, Klosowski said. "People want one central point of contact no matter where they are in the world. We like to say we want to be able to start a sentence in one country and end it in another."
Klosowski, a seven-year veteran in corporate travel, was most recently director of global corporate communications at Rosenbluth International, which AmEx bought in October.
