LOS ANGELES: LA-based entertainment specialist Solters & Digney (S&D) is absorbing another entertainment firm while launching a Hispanic practice.

Lisa Schneiderman, founder of Schneiderman Public Relations, an entertainment and cause-related boutique, merged her company with S&D on March 1. She takes the role of EVP, and will focus on developing new business opportunities and creating strategies for new accounts.

Schneiderman has represented numerous authors and artists, including Stephen Simon, Neale Donald Walsch, Gloria Steinem, and Gail Sheehy.

S&D has also hired Willy Villarreal as an SAE charged with spearheading a Hispanic practice. Villarreal was most recently with Interpublic's Bragman Nyman Cafarelli.

The moves come as S&D gets ready to mark its 50th year.
