NEW YORK: The Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), which sits atop US News & World Report's annual rankings of hospitals specializing in orthopedics, rheumatology, and rehabilitation, has retained Edelman as its agency of record.

Deborah Sale, EVP of external affairs for HHS, added that Edelman also would help to "increase awareness of the many new and exciting initiatives that make the Hospital for Special Surgery the nation's leading hospital for musculoskeletal medicine, surgery, and research."

Nancy Turett, president and global director of Edelman's healthcare practice, said a "convergence team" from the agency's corporate and public affairs, health, and interactive services practices will manage the account. Donald Hyman, SVP in Edelman's New York corporate and public affairs practice, will lead the effort.
