TOY BOX: Drink in virtues of Built NY's wine tote

How serious do you get about keeping your white wine chilled to the proper temperature? Serious enough to pick the glass up by the stem or base so your hand's heat doesn't spoil it?

You needn't be quite that serious to enjoy the Built NY neoprene wine tote. The funky looking carrier lets you keep a wine bottle chilled for several hours. It can then be used as a wine bucket. It also works on other liquids, like the two-liter water bottle it kept cool for more than four hours on my desk. The carrier looks like a diving suit for bottles and seems relatively indestructible. My 15-year-old daughter tried to rip it apart, but couldn't. Beverage PR types might find it useful for sending cold samples to food and beverage editors. It's not hard to imagine witty messages being printed on its sides. The one-bottle tote comes in black, a light green (the company calls it "leaf green," but we don't have leaves that color where I live), or lagoon blue. Built NY also makes two-bottle totes. A two-bottle version is also available. Colors include black, burgundy, green, and blue
