SAN FRANCISCO: Ruder Finn/Switzer has been named AOR by All-America Rose Selections, a nonprofit association dedicated to the introduction and promotion of exceptional roses.

WASHINGTON: Ramsey Poston, an SVP and managing supervisor with Interpublic firm Powell Tate, will become NASCAR's new MD of corporate communications starting April 19. He will report to VP of communications Jim Hunter and assist with overall strategy and messaging.

TROY, MI: Weber Shandwick has hired Christopher Terry as VP of the agency's Detroit office. Previously, Terry

was an account supervisor at Stratacomm, where he managed PR activities for AVL North America, Argonne National Laboratory, and Honeywell's Garrett turbocharging business.

WASHINGTON: Zack Exley, MoveOn PAC's director of special projects, has accepted a position as director of online communications and organizing for the John Kerry presidential campaign.

SAN DIEGO: Fleishman-Hillard has been retained to manage PR for the pilot program of the Hawaii Tourism Authority Business Branding Project on behalf of the state.

CHICAGO: Bacon's Information has acquired MediaClips, a LA-based broadcast monitoring firm.

SEATTLE: RealNetworks has expanded its relationship with JLM Partners, which handles PR outreach to the cable trade media. JLM will now oversee PR outreach to the mobile and consumer electronics trade media.

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA: Borland Software has hired Aaron Feigin as corporate communications VP. Before Borland, Feigin worked at CXO Communication, leading the agency's consulting relationship with Cisco Systems. He has held positions at Fleishman-Hillard and Hill & Knowlton. Borland, which provides application development tools, is in the midst of an agency search.

SAN FRANCISCO: Altiris, IronPort Systems, and Ximeta have hired Bite Communications as their AOR. Altiris develops IT management software, IronPort Systems provides e-mail management technology, and Ximeta develops networking and media storage devices.

BOSTON: Brodeur Worldwide has added five new members to its advisory board. The new members are MIT director and adviser Michael Schrage; communication and culture specialist Dr. Robert Deutsch; Logos Consulting Group founder and president Helio Fred Garcia; Bink Garrison, president of marketing and management consulting firm Bink; and Dave Quincy, founder of marketing consulting firm Brand Quincy.

NEW YORK: RedDot Solutions has retained FitzGerald Communications for PR support. The ongoing relationship comes after RedDot initially hired the agency in October for a project to position the company in the enterprise content management market.

SAN FRANCISCO: Blanc & Otus has been named AOR by four new tech clients - Conformative Systems, Layer N Networks, Highwall Technologies, and NetCelera.

HALF MOON BAY, CA: Bay Area restaurant Moss Beach Distillery has hired Allison & Partners to develop PR campaigns to drive traffic to the historic restaurant.

NEW YORK: PR Newswire's new Multicultural Markets Newsline will offer comprehensive distribution to print, broadcast, and online media read by African-American, Chinese-American, Hispanic-American, and Native-American consumers. The new circuits are an update of a service first introduced by PRN in 1992.
