LOS ANGELES: Woodland Hills, California-based automotive boutique JMPR has signed Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati North America and the National Hot Rod Association as clients.

Ducati has hired the shop as its AOR in North America.

The agency is charged with outreach to lifestyle and enthusiast media, as well as programs targeting specific geographic markets. It is also handling outreach to the entertainment industry and support of product placement. Ducati bikes have appeared in films including The Matrix.

The five-figure account was won after "aggressively pursuing the business for half a year," said JMPR head Joe Molina.

The company is also assisting the National Hot Rod Association with project work. That effort partially centers on the organization's upcoming 50th anniversary this fall.

"We're basically extra arms and legs for them," said Molina.

JMPR is also currently hiring for several positions.
