NEW YORK: The reach of PRNewswire's distribution at the two major political parties' conventions will be its widest ever, said an executive at the 50-year-old newswire.
"It's our broadest national distribution that we offer," said Danny Selnick, PRNewswire's VP of policy services.
(A story in the June 28 issue of PRWeek erroneously stated that PRNewswire had no special plans for the conventions.)
For both the Democratic convention in Boston from July 26 to 29 and the Republican one in New York from August 30 to September 2, PRNewswire will offer three packages with a reach to more than 74,000 journalists.
PRNewswire's full-text releases will go directly to journalists on site at the conventions, Selnick said, as well as to the public through internet search engines and directly to political professionals, such as the White House and federal agencies.
Clients will also be able to tap regular PRNewswire features, including audience-specific feedback on their press releases and having their spokespeople posted on the ProfNet Database.
