NEW YORK: Sloane & Company is handling the international financial PR campaign for the IPO of LG.Philips LCD, which is expected to make history next week when the company plans to be listed on the Korea and New York stock exchanges.

"It's the first dual, concurrent listing," Sloane CEO Elliot Sloane said.

Seoul-based LG.Philips LCD, the largest flat-panel display company in the word, also hired Edelman to handle PR in South Korea.

LG.Philips LCD is a 50-50 partnership between Royal Philips and LG Electronics. The IPO is expected to raise between $1.3 and $1.8 billion, said Sloane CEO Elliot Sloane, making it one of the biggest Asian IPOs of the year so far.

Sloane said he could not disclose the financial terms of the campaign. This is the first time his company has done a campaign with a South Korean business, he said.

The current road show for the IPO will take LG.Philips LCD to 17 cities on three continents, Sloane said.
