MIAMI: To reach what officially became the US' largest minority group last summer, Hispanic PR Wire has introduced new packages for monitoring and distributing news during the 2004 election season.

Hispanic PR Wire's three packages will reach local, state, and national media, said Manny Ruiz, its CEO and president.

All will offer translation into Spanish and distribution to Hispanic media throughout the US, including front-page placement on 41 Hispanic news websites.

"We actually bundled a number of our services," Ruiz said, "and prepared it specifically so that it's targeted for those PR professionals and public affairs people and government agencies that might be doing outreach [to Hispanics] during the upcoming campaign season."

The Census Bureau in June 2003 announced that Hispanics had become the nation's largest minority group.
