Kraft hires new global corporate affairs EVP

NORTHFIELD, IL: Kraft Foods has hired Mark Berlind as EVP of global corporate affairs.

NORTHFIELD, IL: Kraft Foods has hired Mark Berlind as EVP of global corporate affairs.

Berlind will handle issues management, corporate responsibility initiatives, media relations, and internal communications. He will also head the government affairs team that supports the food business.

He replaced Michael Mudd, who has retired after 20 years with Kraft Foods.

Berlind will report immediately to Kraft Foods CEO Roger Deromedi and join the Kraft Executive Team. Prior to assuming this role, Berlind served as VP and associate general counsel at Altria Corporate Service, which he joined in 1996 as assistant general counsel. Kraft and Altria Corporate Service are both part of the Altria Group

Altria has not yet named a replacement for Berlind, according to Tamara Moore, manager of media affairs for Altria Corporate Service.
