BOSTON: The Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism announced Friday that it had selected Mullen as its PR agency for the coming year.
The contract, valued at about $200,000, will run from September 1 through June 30 of next year. Massachusetts-based Mullen replaces the firm Development Counsellors International, which had the contract last year.
David Swaebe, VP/account director at Mullen, said that the state of Massachusetts is required to undertake a yearly review of its contracts, and that his firm will set its goals and initiatives in early September. "[The contract is] focused on promoting leisure travel in Massachusetts from a media relations perspective," Swaebe said.
