MUNICH: Ketchum and TBWA\PR have merged their German PR operations.
The two firms, both members of the Omnicom Group, will operate under the Ketchum brand.
Ketchum's Sabine Stadel-Strauch, partner and managing director, and Nicola Pizzoni, managing director, will run the office. Stadel-Strauch retains her title of CEO and Pizzoni COO. Ketchum's Petra Sammer, creative director, group manager, and VP of corporate relations and technology, becomes managing director of strategic development.
"With TBWA, we're linked to a marketing industry leader whose presence in D?sseldorf, Berlin, and Hamburg as well as Munich, where Ketchum already operates, positions us to offer proximity to clients in all the key German markets," Jon Higgins, partner and CEO of Ketchum Europe, said in a statement.
Pre-merger, Ketchum had 50 employees in Germany. TBWA Worldwide had 22 offices or affiliates in Germany. Globally, it has 237 offices in 75 countries with 8,100 employees worldwide. Clients include Absolut, Adidas, Apple, and Sony PlayStation.
Ketchum has 21 global offices and 35 affiliates.
