NEW YORK: Marke Rubenstein has been named EVP and director of client services (a newly created position) at entertainment marketing firm The Leverage Group.
Rubenstein joins The Leverage Group from Deutsch, where she was an EVP and director of promotions and PR for the last six years.
"Her responsibilities will run the gamut from finding strategic partners for our clients and overseeing various client initiatives, also [aiding in] promotional and communications opportunities," said president Richard Yaffa.
Yaffa trumpeted Rubenstein's strategic thinking and client program initiatives as reasons for hiring her.
Rubenstein created the promotions and PR division at Deutsch, and worked with clients such as Snapple, Mott's, 7 UP, Pfizer, Novartis, and Bank One. She has also held senior positions at agencies such as North Castle Partners Advertising and Shandwick.
Cheryl Greene, managing partner and chief strategy officer of Deutsch, is now overseeing the agency's PR practice, according to Vonda LePage, director of corporate communications for Deutsch. LePage said it was too early to tell if the firm would eventually hire a replacement for Rubenstein.
The Leverage Group client roster includes Redken, Tribeca Film Institute, Pepperidge Farm, and TD Waterhouse.
