The CrossTech3 is worth writing about

When I graduated high school, an aunt, who was also my godmother (a key role in an Italian-American family), gave me a silver Cross pen and pencil set.

I treasured that as I went off to college surrounded by the non-materialistic hippies of the era. When I started my first journalism job, I eventually lost the pen. I could never bear to tell that to my aunt, so I kept buying new ones to replace it.

All of that is intro to the fact that I've long admired Cross items, so I jumped at the chance to try the new Cross Tech3, a pen that combines two colors of ink with a mechanical pencil.

I've had combo pens in the past, but they're usually too bulky to enable them to hold the three ink refills and be comfortable in your hand.

Cross has made the Tech3 only slightly bigger in diameter than a normal pen, so it's comfortable when you're writing.

I enjoyed using it. Switching from blue to red to highlight things in my notes was easy.

The mechanical pencil also was simple to use. Bravo Cross, I can still count on you.
