New MS&L SVP to lead its Sanofi-Aventis business

NEW YORK: MS&L has hired a new SVP to lead account work for an expanded portfolio of Sanofi-Aventis products.

NEW YORK: MS&L has hired a new SVP to lead account work for an expanded portfolio of Sanofi-Aventis products.

Stephanie Stamatakou will report to MD and healthcare director Wendy Lund, who previously led the account.

MS&L had already been working with Sanofi-Synthelabo when the drug company completed its merger with Aventis Pharmaceuticals in December.

The newly merged company has consolidated work for all but three Aventis brands under Publicis Groupe, with MS&L leading PR.

Nearly 40 people at MS&L will be involved with the business, which involves brand marketing, Stamatakou noted.

"It ended up being a sizeable account for MS&L," she said.

Stamatakou will oversee staffing, strategic counsel, and planning processes on the account. She will also help ensure consistencies across brands.

She was previously an SVP with Porter Novelli.

"I'm very excited," she said. She added that working with a company that has so much of its business under one agency is "one of those opportunities in the marketplace that is very new and unique."
