ATLANTA: Paul McKeon, who spent five years at Ketchum as head of its global technology practice, has launched a new content-provider company in Atlanta.

The new firm, called The Content Factor, will focus exclusively on written and digital content for a wide variety of companies, including PR agencies.

"The clients pretty much don't have writers on staff any more," McKeon said, explaining the impetus for the new company. "The agencies...don't really have that function very much. And so there was a huge gap there."

The digital revolution has changed the dynamics of content generation, McKeon said. "The prospects and people come to your content over the internet," he said. "That's really a trend that we see."

McKeon's partner in the firm is Jeneane Sessum, another former Ketchum employee who currently runs a well-known women's blog.
