ATLANTA: Ashley Smith, the woman taken hostage on March 11th by a fleeing courtroom killer in Atlanta, has hired local agency Jackson Spalding to help handle her newfound celebrity.
Agency co-founder Glen Jackson first appeared by Smith's side last Monday as she read a brief statement about her ordeal to the media. Jackson declined to discuss the particulars of the agency's work.
"We just got engaged this week," he said. "My focus is on helping [Smith] right now."
Only three days after Smith escaped, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that she had been offered book and movie deals, as well as interview requests from virtually every major media outlet in the US.
