NEW YORK: GCI Group has hired Rachel Levine as SVP of IR in the corporate communications practice in New York.

Levine, who moved to GCI from The Anne McBride Co. last month, will be the only IR pro in GCI's New York office. She will report to Ray Kerins, EVP and managing director of the agency's corporate communications practice.

Levine said that her dual tasks will be to maintain service to the agency's current IR clients, while simultaneously expanding the IR practice through organic and new client growth.

"I'm building, both externally for new clients [that will come in looking for] IR services and cross over to PR, and also [for] those internally to add the IR component to existing PR business," she said.

GCI's current IR clients include Matria Healthcare and Tsakos Energy Navigation.
