WPP hires new chief talent officer

NEW YORK: WPP has hired former Ogilvy chief talent officer Mark Linaugh to head up its global HR department.

NEW YORK: WPP has hired former Ogilvy chief talent officer Mark Linaugh to head up its global HR department.

As CTO, Linaugh is tasked with evaluating, developing, and retaining talent for WPP companies. He replaces Beth Axelrod, who joined eBay as SVP of HR in March.

Linaugh, who began on May 1, reports to WPP CEO Sir Martin Sorrell.

Linaugh was previously CTO at Ogilvy, and held executive HR positions at Nortel Networks and Time Inc. Ogilvy has not replaced Linaugh yet.
