Walt Disney Company hires VP of communications from AT&T Wireless

LOS ANGELES: The Walt Disney Company has pulled aboard AT&T Wireless PR head David Caouette.

LOS ANGELES: The Walt Disney Company has pulled aboard AT&T Wireless PR head David Caouette.

Caouette, who takes the title of VP of communications, was most recently VP of corporate media and financial communications at AT&T Wireless, where he directed media relations during that company?s $41 billion dollar merger with Cingular Wireless.

He replaces John Spelich, who left the entertainment giant recently to join Gateway as corporate communications director.

Caouette will report to SVP of corporate communications Zenia Mucha. He is charged with handling communications across a variety of Disney ventures, including parks and resorts, media networks, consumer products, and studio entertainment. Specifically, he will oversee financial reporting, legislative and regulatory issues, corporate reputations management, and executive communications.
