Paramount grabs Hill from MTV to fill a new comms role

LOS ANGELES: Paramount Pictures has named Janet Hill EVP of corporate communications, a new position. She will report to Paramount chairman and CEO Brad Grey.

LOS ANGELES: Paramount Pictures has named Janet Hill EVP of corporate communications, a new position. She will report to Paramount chairman and CEO Brad Grey.

Hill will be responsible for all internal and external business and media communications for the studio.

"As we continue to reinvent the studio and improve the culture, Janet will play a key role for us," Grey said in a release.

Hill most recently served as SVP of West Coast corporate communications for MTV Networks, where she managed all of the network's business, trade, and consumer publicity on the West Coast.

During her time at MTV, she worked with the Paramount team on such films as The Longest Yard, Coach Carter, and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

Hill also spent eight years at Miramax, where she was EVP of publicity and worked on films including Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare in Love, and Good Will Hunting.
