NEW YORK: In the wake of the March merger between UK-based holding companies Incepta and Huntsworth, Citigate Public Affairs (CPA) will be absorbed into the Global Consulting Group (GCG).

CPA will cease to exist as a brand once the integration of the firms is complete, a process that is expected to take several months.

GCG, which was Huntsworth's prime public affairs agency before the merger with Incepta, has offices in the US, Europe, and Israel. Incepta's CPA operates solely in Europe.

This latest move, the result of a post-merger strategic review, is designed to consolidate the public affairs services of Incepta and simultaneously lend GCG a stronger European presence.

"For client service going forward, GCG is now able to offer companies public affairs consulting from a strong US base into the UK and onto the continent and EU in a seamless manner," said GCG CEO Richard Wolff via e-mail.

Stephanie Lvovich, a GCG MD, has been named MD of the combined public affairs company in Europe.
