BELLEVUE, WA: Joyce McClure has joined Waggener Edstrom as SVP and COO of the agency?s global Microsoft account.

She will oversee the business side of the account, including strategy, planning, and management. McClure will report to EVP Frank Shaw, who leads the account.

McClure joins Wag Ed from ICF Consulting, a public sector consulting firm, where she oversaw the West Coast strategic communications division. Other companies she has worked for include Edelman and GS Schwartz & Company.

"[Microsoft] is the premiere business of our business," said McClure. "This was an opportunity to work with the best and brightest. Who wouldn't jump at that?"

The Microsoft business is extremely complex, said McClure, as the account includes a diverse mix, including some of Microsoft's best-known products such as Windows, Office, and MSN, as well as areas including community affairs and digital rights management.
