LOS ANGELES: Stephen Jones, former MD of Ogilvy PR's global tech practice, has joined GolinHarris as an EVP in its Los Angeles office. He will lead Golin's largest account, Nintendo, which has been a client for 13 years.

He will oversee a team of nearly 30 staff members in Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York.

Jones could not be reached for comment.

Jones left Ogilvy in May, shortly after the agency lost its share of the Sun Microsystems account. Ogilvy has said the loss of Sun did not have any bearing on Jones' departure.

Ogilvy is still looking for Jones' successor.

Jones joined Ogilvy in June 2002, coming from Ketchum where he served as associate director of the global technology practice.

Jones will report to Judy Johnson, MD of Golin's Western region.
