PR's globalization focus of '05 ICCO Summit in Prague

NEW YORK: The globalization of PR will be the topic of the 2005 ICCO Summit. Speakers include Body Shop founder Anita Roddick; Nehl Horton, head of global media relations at Novartis; and Nick Hindle, head of corporate affairs for McDonald's in the UK.

NEW YORK: The globalization of PR will be the topic of the 2005 ICCO Summit. Speakers include Body Shop founder Anita Roddick; Nehl Horton, head of global media relations at Novartis; and Nick Hindle, head of corporate affairs for McDonald's in the UK.

ICCO, the International Communications Consultancy Organization, is an umbrella body comprising 850 PR firms in 24 countries through their trade associations, such as the Council of PR Firms in the US.

The group holds a summit every two years. The summit is produced in association with PRWeek.

The summit will focus on PR's increasingly global role, including the ways in which international companies must strive to localize programs.

Other speakers include Harris Diamond, Weber Shandwick CEO; Ray Kotcher, CEO of Ketchum; Lou Capozzi, chairman of Publicis' PR and corporate communications group; and Helen Ostrowski, CEO of Porter Novelli.
