FAIRFAX, VA: Leapfrog Solutions has landed a positioning and branding account with DSA, a technology contractor with the Department of Defense (DoD).
The agency's work will focus primarily on trade media relations, according to Leapfrog PR director Jan Goebel. It plans to promote DSA's work on the "Net-Centric Enterprise Services" (NCES), a DoD plan to link all branches of the military's communications via the web.
"Every [branch] has a different approach, and DSA is trying to pull everybody together," Goebel said. "I will go more to the [trade] pubs in this town...it's not a subject that really gets much attention in the Washington Post, unless Donald Rumsfeld says something about it."
DSA handles the government relations aspect of its business in-house. Goebel declined to reveal the financial terms of the contract.
Leapfrog has had several other PR accounts similar government contractors and consultants, including Aquient, a consulting firm, and i-Direct, which sells satellite and broadband technology to the federal government.
