SAN FRANCISCO: Edelman has appointed Warren Egnal as EVP and GM of its San Francisco office.

Egnal replaces Nicole Russell Didda, who left the agency in February to join change management firm Mercer Delta Consulting as a partner.

Egnal joins the firm from Porter Novelli Consulting, where he was a senior consultant with the agency's management consulting division.

He has also worked for A. Brown-Olmstead Associates, Pac/West Communications, and TeleQuest.

The San Francisco office's clients include Charles Schwab, Clorox, Transamerica, and The Almond Board of California.

Egnal will report to Western Region co-presidents Patrick McGuire and Gail Becker.

Edelman is also searching for a GM for its Silicon Valley office, which GM Luca Penati left late last month.

Global tech practice leader Pam Pollace will serve as interim GM for that office while Edelman searches for a permanent replacement.
