year with a full portfolio of new accounts worth around dollars 350,000.

They include Optimize, a privately held provider of surgical imaging

systems; PhorMax, which develops technology for radiography systems; and

Scimagix, a maker of software systems for the biotech and life science

industries.





BOSTON: Partners in Health, a non-profit organization providing

healthcare services to the poor, has retained Wanger Associates for PR

services.



The six-month contract includes media relations, assistance with

publications and public outreach to generate awareness for

multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.





NEW YORK: American Family Publishers and the General Cigar Company have

tapped Cairns & Associates as their agency of record. The new accounts

represent revenues in excess of dollars 700,000 for the agency.





RALEIGH, NC: High Speed Net Solutions has retained the Porter Novelli

Convergence Group for IR support. The firm began working with High Speed

Net Solutions in mid-December to help strengthen communications with the

company’s shareholders.
