WASHINGTON, DC: Ketchum has added veteran ABC News correspondent

Tim O’Brien to the advisory board of its newly formalized litigation

communications practice.

O’Brien, an attorney, is well-known for his prime-time coverage of the

O.J. Simpson and Oliver North trials. Other board members include

Richard Stack, who heads the public communications division at The

American University School of Communication.

Karen Doyne, who heads the new practice, said it represents a

’centralizing and formalizing’ of activities frequently carried out by

other units within the agency. The practice will start with four members

and eventually tap Ketchum’s healthcare, government relations and

corporate practices for assistance.
