HSR revamps firm and focus, eyes shop purchases outside Ohio

Cincinnati market, Hensley Segal Rentschler has taken on a new corporate

identity and shifted its focus toward business-to-business

communications.



The revamped agency, now called HSR Business-to-Business, was formed

earlier this month. HSR has also created two new operating companies,

HSR Internet Services and HSR Consulting, and renamed its marketing

communications unit HSR Marketing Communications.



Chairman and CEO Richard Segal said the change in structure was dictated

by the flow of new business. ’We were having to scale up much faster to

meet demand in our marketplace,’ he said, adding that the new name stems

from his desire ’to make clearer for branding purposes what the firm is

all about.’



Still, Segal doesn’t expect any sudden changes. ’Our PR discipline is

very intertwined with our Internet services, and will continue to be so

under the new structure,’ he explained.



Additionally, HSR might not be finished with its revamping just yet, as

Segal hinted at an acquisition of a firm outside of its Ohio

stronghold.



While he wouldn’t give specifics, Segal said any deal would hinge on the

firm’s area of specialization.



HSR Business-to-Business boasts 86 employees, 25 of whom are assigned to

PR. Overall capitalized billings for the firm are roughly dollars 70

million.
