the hi-tech Goliath of PR by acquiring the dollars 16.2 million,

150-strong Lois Paul & Partners.

Fleishman is creating a dollars 90 million hi-tech behemoth by bundling

its tech practice with recent buys LP&P, UpStart Communications,

Upstream Consulting and High Road Communications. The group, to be led

by regional chief Jan Van Meter, will be called Technology Consulting

Worldwide.

LP&P’s location outside of Boston had less to do with the acquisition -

in the works for nine months, according to chairman and CEO John Graham

- than the agency’s collective manpower. ’This deal is about people,’ he

said. ’We’re all about people, no matter where they are in the

world.’

LP&P will retain its name and continue to operate as an independent

subsidiary of TCW.
