DIARY: Web site looks for a beau with mojo

Like most single women on Valentine’s Day, online jewelry retailer Miadora is looking for Mr. Right. Miadora, which loosely translated from Italian means ’He adores me,’ has launched a contest to find the woman who most adores her man.

Like most single women on Valentine’s Day, online jewelry retailer

Miadora is looking for Mr. Right. Miadora, which loosely translated from

Italian means ’He adores me,’ has launched a contest to find the woman

who most adores her man.

Women were asked to fill out an online application, describing in 125

words or less why their man is the man. As if the woman who wins isn’t

already lucky enough, she and her beau will receive a week-long trip to

Cancun, a ruby-and-diamond ring, necklace and earrings, and a man’s

Cartier watch.

’Jewelry signifies love and romance, especially when it’s given as a

gift,’ said Miadora director of PR Alex Viteri. ’Women love to be

adorned with jewelry.’ Guess you can put a price on love after all.

Interesting to note is the possibility that the world’s most adorable

man has the potential to be the world’s ugliest man - the submission

process requires no photos. But Viteri insists that that’s not what the

contest is about. ’It’s about what makes a man adorable, and what makes

a wife or girlfriend feel adored.’
