IRVINE, CA: Nexgenix, an Orange County-based Internet

business-to-business consulting and services provider, has launched a

dollars 10 million integrated branding campaign - more than dollars

500,000 of which will be specifically devoted to communications and

PR-related activities.

Heading up the campaign, which will incorporate media relations,

promotions, event marketing, direct mail and advertising, is Michael

Donner, the company’s newly appointed director of marketing and

communications.

Prior to joining Nexgenix last month, Donner spent more than two years

as head of corporate communications for Solectron, a leading electronics

manufacturer in Silicon Valley. While there, Donner led the company

through 12 acquisitions and helped it grow from a 17,000-employee,

dollars 4.7 billion organization to one with more than 39,000 employees

and a market cap of dollars 22 billion. The 29-year-old pro has also

held key communications posts at XDB Systems and Houston-based Landmark

Graphics.

Donner’s in-house staff will be assisted by Ruder-Finn/Chicago and

Shandwick’s Minneapolis office.

Both are working on a project-by-project basis, Donner said.

Solectron has yet to fill Donner’s slot, which he vacated in

mid-December.

For now, senior communications specialist Kimi Nishita is the sole PR

pro on the corporate roster.
