NEW YORK: Grey Advertising has installed Jan Sneed in its top

communications post. Sneed, who becomes SVP/director of corporate

affairs, will oversee the company’s media relations and corporate

communications, and report directly to chairman and president Ed Meyer.

Prior to joining Grey, Sneed was SVP/corporate communications worldwide

for TBWA Worldwide. She replaces Owen Dougherty.





SEATTLE: Publicis Dialog has shifted longtime employee Jeff Hasen across

the country to serve as president of its Seattle office. During his

tenure as senior principal/managing director of the firm’s Salt Lake

City outpost, he doubled the office’s income. Among the clients with

whom he has worked are Nestle, United HealthCare and Domino’s Pizza.





SAN FRANCISCO: Burson-Marsteller has hired former Genentech VP Gregory

Baird to head its western region healthcare practice. Baird has spent

well more than a decade in various healthcare communications posts,

including stints at Searle, Pfizer and Revlon.





EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ: How2.com has chosen The MWW Group over Ketchum and

other suitors for brand development, IR and PR.





NEW YORK: Linden Alschuler & Kaplan has lured Mollie Conkey, most

recently press secretary to US Congressman Rick Lazio, into the agency

fold. Conkey joins the firm as VP, a post in which she will handle a

range of media and investor relations tasks.





SAN BRUNO, CA: M&A West has retained Vision Corporate Consulting to

raise its visibility in the public markets and increase shareholder

value.



Previously handled by Madock Partners in New York, M&A West’s business

is valued at nearly dollars 100,000 in annualized fees.





PORTLAND, OR: Online wine retailer eVineyard has hired Portland State

University professor Marc Goldberg as its new communications

director.



Goldberg was hired by one of his former students, Michael Osborne, who

founded the site.
