MOSCOW: Porter Novelli has moved into the fairly uncharted

territory of Russian PR, signing a deal last week to affiliate with the

country’s largest PR firm, Triangle Consulting Group.

Triangle consists of three smaller firms: Mikhailov and Partners, a

full-service agency with crisis, IR and healthcare capabilities; RIM, a

recently founded public affairs consultancy; and ICCG, which offers

corporate and internal communications.

Under the deal, Triangle becomes PN’s exclusive partner when its clients

require work in Russia. If successful, the arrangement will be

formalized via acquisition next year.

’Triangle coming together to form the country’s dominant communications

consultancy has impressed us, the market and our clients,’ said PN’s

UK-based chairman Peter Hehir.
