WASHINGTON, DC: Former Powell Tate telecom expert Michael Causey

continued his working tour of DC shops last week, skipping from

Strat@comm to Hill & Knowlton.

Causey joined H&K as senior managing director, a post in which he will

work with a range of technology and telecom clients (the American Mobile

Satellite Corporation, the National Cable Television Association).

A former telecom reporter, Causey spent three years at Powell Tate as a

group VP for technology. He left the agency for Strat@comm around the

time of the acquisition of PT’s parent company by Shandwick. While he

described Strat@comm as ’a small agency with really good folks,’ his

move to H&K was motivated by wanting to rejoin ’the bigger stage of a

big agency.’
