CAMBRIDGE, MA: MediaMap has upped its efforts to provide

information on pitching the Web media to PR pros.

Earlier this month, the company announced the availability of a free

white paper on ’How to Get Press Coverage on the Web,’ which includes 10

steps to pitching online media. The white paper is available at

www.mediamap.com.

While everybody seems to have their own ideas about how to pitch Web

denizens, MediaMap thinks its solutions are novel ones. ’It’s a little

bit challenging to identify how to place a story on various Web sites,’

said MediaMap VP of marketing Brenda Kelly. ’We wanted to explain the

value of having a story placed on Web sites that have a high readership,

and explain to public relations professionals all the nuances of how to

get press coverage on Web sites.’

The company has also increased the number of Web media sites included in

its Web media database. Since developing the database last summer,

MediaMap has added over 350 additional sites, bringing the total to 450

sites and 3,000 contacts.

MediaMap currently offers four Web media modules, including ones for the

consumer, business and finance, healthcare and computer industry

sectors.

The price for each module is dollars 199 per user per month, with

discounts available for multiple users or multiple databases.
