NEW YORK: Most PR agencies aspire to little more than getting their

clients into glossy magazines. Ruder Finn, however, has decided to

publish one of its own.

Earlier this month, the agency debuted the first edition of MOVE!, a

full-color publication that takes a humanistic look at the forces

shaping the world of communications. 10,000 copies of the magazine were

published, and are on their way to Ruder Finn employees, friends,

clients and business leaders.

As opposed to newsletters that do little more than chronicle an agency’s

achievements, MOVE! is envisioned as ’a magazine with insights and

points of view, like Harper’s or Atlantic Monthly,’ according to Ruder

Finn chairman and CEO David Finn.

The 40-page first issue includes articles written by Ruder Finn execs on

topics such as post-merger communications as well as an interview with

United Nations Secretary-General (and Finn crony) Kofi Annan.
