Strategies.

PR director Steve Swasey confirmed that Phase Two had triumphed over

competitors in the recent agency review, but said that the contract had

not yet been finalized.

On board since last November, Swasey had previously said that he was

seeking a PR firm that bought into PeopleSoft’s reinvention from

money-losing software maker to a player in the Internet solutions arena.

The company has made several strides in that direction in recent months:

just last week, PeopleSoft announced plans to debut an online trading

exchange aimed at linking suppliers, customers and employees.

Competitors Oracle and SAP have also launched similar online b-to-b

exchanges.

PeopleSoft has also hired LiveWire media relations to do PR for its

Vertical Industries Marketing Group.
