BUENOS AIRES: Six months after losing its PR manager, Visa has

chosen its first-ever PR firm for media relations in Argentina.

Visa selected Personally over local powerhouse ZC&M and multinational

agencies Ketchum and Edelman after a lengthy search. Personally partner

Laura Palermo will lead the account team, supported by AE Marcelo

Altuna.

Former Visa PR manager Daniel Chirom left the financial-services giant

at the beginning of the year to work as top spin doctor for Argentina’s

Economy Minister, Jose Luis Machinea. Since February, Visa had employed

local boutique 911 on an interim basis.

Visa’s agencies of record in the US are Ketchum and GCI - which is said

to be in talks to acquire Personally.
