NASHVILLE: TNN has promoted communications manager Gwen Poth to director of communications. In her new role, she will develop national media campaigns for the network’s programming and head its team of entertainment and outdoor-sports publicists. Poth, who has been with TNN since May 1998, was previously director of corporate relations at The Buntin Group in Nashville.

NEW YORK: Data networking company Infonet Services Corp. has named

Ruder Finn as its first global agency of record. The dollars 1 million

account will be based out of the firm’s NY office.





BOSTON: Miller/Shandwick has added Lars Carlson as senior counsel for

technology public affairs and Gail Whitcomb as VP and senior counsel,

investor relations. Carlson was previously director of communications

HONG KONG: Ogilvy has tapped Indira Nair, formerly Edelman’s managing

director of Malaysian operations, as professional development leader

for its 19-office Asia Pacific network. The firm has also added Richard

George as a VP in its technology practice. He was most recently US

director of business operations at Publicis Dialog and previously

headed up PR for the PRSA.





NEW YORK: In order to reflect its expanded lineup of broadcast, Web and

multimedia services, Target Video News has changed its name to TVN

Communications Group.
