AOL has hired Michelle Saporiti away from UNICEF and installed her as

country PR manager. Saporiti was previously the charity’s Argentine PR

manager.

AOL, which has already launched in Mexico and Brazil, is making a

concerted PR push in Latin America, actively seeking PR execs in Mexico

City and Sao Paulo. The online giant is expected to launch the service

in Argentina next month.

The Latin American region is coordinated for AOL by Susan Ainswort, a

regional PR VP. AOL Latin America is a joint venture of AOL and

Venezuelan media giant Grupo Cisneros.
