Leslie Pantin and Julio Gonzalez-Rebull Sr., who founded the original firms, become president and chairman, respectively, of the new agency.

SVP Julio Mendez will manage day-to-day operations.

'We merged basically to extend our resources in order to service our clients better and to have more AEs,' said account coordinator Francesca Fazio.

Fazio said that the varied experience of the two agencies precluded any conflicts of interest and has added depth to the merged company.

'JGR had better media relations and was involved in the tourist industry,' she said, pointing to event planning as a Pantin specialty. Both firms were heavily involved in Florida's Spanish- and English-speaking markets.
