WOBURN, MA: CMGI-owned entertainment Web site iCAST.com has revamped its in-house PR structure and may soon be fishing for a new PR agency.

While the company currently employs Los Angeles-based Hayley Sumner Company, iCAST.com director of communications Bill Golden said last week that the site is 'beginning the review process' and talking with other agencies.

He was quick to add, however, that an official review is not taking place.

Before working with Hayley Sumner, iCAST had employed Middleberg Euro RSCG.

The company's reevaluation of its PR agency needs may have been spurred by the addition of former Excite@Home SVP of marketing Fred Siegel, who joined iCAST as SVP of marketing and corporate strategy on August 14.

Siegel, however, isn't the site's only major new arrival: Stuart Zakin has joined the company in the newly created post of VP of PR. Zakin, who becomes the site's senior-most PR exec, arrives from Playboy Enterprises, where he was corporate VP of promotions.

While Zakin was on vacation at press time, Golden said the site plans to be very progressive with its PR.

The iCAST hirings are likely far from finished, with the company looking for two senior publicists to help promote its movie and music channels.
