BRIEFS

WASHINGTON, DC: Veteran Beltway politico David St. John, who once served as head speechwriter for Department of Labor director Robert Reich, has been named director of Burson-Marsteller's DC technology practice. For the past two years, he has worked for the now-bankrupt satellite phone company Iridium as director of internal and external communications. St. John, who joined Burson at the end of June, fills a vacancy created when Peter Soh departed to FitzGerald Communications.
