NEW YORK: PepperCom is set to play e-business marketing matchmaker beginning next week in a new Internet-driven database spin-off called Partnershipcentral.com.

The brainchild of PepperCom managing partners Steve Cody and Ed Moed, Partnershipcentral.com is backed by dollars 3.75 million in VC funding and will be targeted to PR, marketing and business development executives of emerging e-businesses looking to identify strategic partnerships. The new offshoot boasts a searchable database of 'tens of thousands' of potential partners in 16 industries and a stable of 27 partnership consultants, who comprise a wholly separate entity from PepperCom.

Moed will serve as CEO of Partnershipcentral.Com and will continue as managing partner of PepperCom. Steve Cody will serve as chairman.

Partnershipcentral.com clients include iacaemy.com, multi.com, and Purchasenet.

PepperCom's revenues are expected to more than double to dollars 10 million this year, not including Partnershipcentral.com. The New York firm plans to launch offices in London and San Fran next year.
