Blanc & Otus fills three exec posts

In Austin, former Niehaus Ryan Wong (NRW) senior executive Kazumi Mechling has joined as SVP and GM. The first person to helm the seven-month-old office, Mechling will be responsible for expansion of regional operations and oversee existing Austin clients Motive, all.com and Zilliant. Prior to NRW, Mechling served as president of Edelman Worldwide's Tokyo office.

B&O has also snagged Julie Rosenthal, former director of communications for Sprint International, to serve as a VP in the Washington, DC office.

Clorox marketing and issues communications manager Sandy Sullivan has joined B&O's Silicon Valley branch as vice president.

Founded in 1985, Blanc & Otus was acquired by Hill & Knowlton in February 1999.
